There is something so special about watching a child create something with their own two hands and proudly say, “I made this myself!”
Over four weeks, your child will learn how to make their very own summer pyjama set from start to finish, including a pair of comfy elastic-waist shorts and a matching short-sleeve top.
Designed with beginners in mind, we’ll slow down and work through the entire sewing process together. From learning how to read and understand a pattern, safely use a sewing machine, sew seams and create an elastic waistband, each week they’ll build on their skills as they watch their very own handmade outfit come to life.
More than anything, I want this course to give young sewists the time and space to create, learn, ask questions, make mistakes and experience that incredible feeling of making something all on their own.
With small class sizes and plenty of individual guidance and support, each student will leave with their very own handmade and wearable summer PJ set, new sewing skills, growing confidence and, hopefully, a newfound love for sewing and creating.
No previous sewing experience is needed. All fabric, materials, sewing machines and equipment are included in the course fee. All your child needs to bring is themselves and their excitement to create something beautiful.
Please note: students are welcome to come straight after school from 3.30pm and refuel with snacks and nibbles (provided) before class starts at 4pm.
Bookings are made for the full course and payment is required upfront.
